Healthy Snacks You Can Make For Halloween

Healthy Snacks You Can Make For Halloween

October brings in the Halloween season across the world! If you’re planning on hosting a Halloween party or participating in a trick or treating in your village, you should prepare a stash of snacks and sweets for the youngins. The trick is to find the balance between flavor and healthiness!

Spiders on a Log

Slice celery sticks crosswise then spread Pic’s Smooth or Crunchy Peanut Butter on top of it (get it from our e-Grocery!) Decorate it with plastic spiders (remove it before eating!) or gummy spiders and worms from the grocery.

Chocolate Pretzel Webs

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and arrange thin pretzel sticks in a starburst shape. Spoon some melted white chocolate in the center to seal the sticks together. Then, drizzle more of the white chocolate around the sticks in a circular pattern to create the web. Place two raisins in the center and cover with melted dark chocolate to form the spider for your web. Freeze until chocolate hardens.

Witches Broomsticks

To make the broom, slice the mozzarella stick across in thirds. Use a knife or scissors to cut a fringe pattern on the lower half of the cheese. Insert a pretzel stick into the cheese, making the broomstick, and tie a chive around the top.

Boonanas and Pumpkintines

Give your kids unpeeled clementines and let your little monsters get creative by drawing on pumpkin faces. Meanwhile, peel bananas and cut them in half crosswise. Have your kids press two mini chocolate chips into the side of the banana for eyes and a regular-size chocolate chip for a ghost mouth.

Peanut Butter Pumpkins

Melt peanut butter (you can use Pics Smooth Peanut Butter) and honey together in a small microwavable bowl until easily stirred then mix well. Combine oats (like Rude Health’s Daily Oats Oatmeal) and flax in another bowl. Combine the peanut butter and oat mixtures by mixing them in together. Form the mixture into small balls then leave them in a freezer overnight.

The next day, melt peanut butter chips in a small bowl. Using a toothpick or fork, dip and coat the frozen peanut butter balls with the melted peanut butter chip. Repeat with each ball and then place them back in the freezer to harden for about an hour. Once hardened, cut chocolate pieces into rectangular chunks and place on top of balls to make pumpkins. Keep the peanut butter pumpkins in the freezer until serving time.

These snacks aren’t only for kids, but for the kids at heart too!
